Looking to improvise a cheap video switcher using a standalone dvd recorder (no harddrive).
If I've got 3 or 4 cameras hooked up to the various video inputs on a standalone dvd recorder, can I change from camera to camera while burning a dvd (not recording to a hardrive) but in burn mode
I don't have time to edit and encode after the live gig so I want to switch or mix cameras while burning. Is there a standalone which permits this changing of inputs durning a burn?

No ... BUT.... use a switch box on the cameras, and a single output from the switch to the DVD recorder. Easy as that.
