all_clients-helix-20041208-macos-gcc3-pb.tar.gz
hxplay-1.1.0.603-linux-2.2-libc6-gcc32-powerpc.tar.bz2

The Helix site changed their files. I'm preparing a new release with the right links. In the meantime, download this file:
http://forms.helixcommunity.org/helix/builds/index.html?filename=20041208/all_clients-...gcc3-pb.tar.gz
Then after decompression, rename the folder as client-1.1.5-DevRel_macos-gcc3-pb_all_clients

i've got 0.0.9r now, and i am still having this problem with the reallibs--
the installer pretends to recognize the link i made to the folder
client-1.1.5-DevRel_macos-gcc3-pb_all_clients
but if i click on "install binaries" again in ffmpegX then it still shows up as not having been installed.
i tried trashing and reinstalling ffmpegX several times and still the same problem. What am i doing wrong?

Download http://homepage.mac.com/major4/reallib.zip, unzip and put the folder in /Library/Application Support/ffmpegX
I will make reallibs an optional install in ffmpegX 0.0.9sn as the continuous change of builds from Helix make this process a little difficult.

i did that but still no go. The installer accepts the link as if it worked, but if i try to encode a real media file (which is unfortunately what i need to do and why i am suffering from all this trouble) it chimes very happily as if it worked, but gives me a 0 kb empty file. the encoding report reads as:
Encoding started on Mon Jan 10 20:27:51 CET 2005

so obviously it hasn't done anything, and if i check the reallibs in the installer again, it shows up again in red as missing. i already tried deleting and reinstalling ffmpegX, but the problem persists. what's the next thing to try?
