not sure if this is the right section for this but if there's a problem just lemme know.....I have an MKV file with multiple subs and audio, i was able to separate the video (XVID), audio (OGG) and the Sub (.srt/.ssa) file using VirtualDubMod....i want to convert it into VCD with permanent subtitles but i don't know how.

I have read almost all the topics regarding this but none of them worked....can somebody give me a simple or easy way to do this???

    any help would be appreciated.thanks

It would help if you told is what you have tried and what exactly that didn't work.

    vobsub/ffdshow and tmpgenc?
virtualdub and add the subs and frameserve to tmpgenc?
    or something else?

  5. if you already have a Xvid file as you said its simple.

use TMPGEnc ,load the avi and reencode it to VCD.

just take care in TMPGEnc`s enviromental settings-VFAPI
Plug-in to put "directshow multimedia file reader" on top of the list.
