  1. This may be a crazy question? I have a HTPC with a Happauge PVR250, dvdr, etc... Its running Media center edition right now. My wife would like to be able to use it like a VCR directly to DVDR without going through the technical authoring part.

Is it possible to capture and record directly to DVDR like a standalone set top box does? Just record straight to DVDR like a video tape?

Why not just get a DVD recorder like the JVC DRM10SL ?

  5. I have a Leadtek A280 MyVIVO card and it has this software WINFast PVR(MyVIVO).
    http://www.leadtek.com.tw/eng/support/download.asp?downlineid=66

It has a direct burn to DVD feature. I've never used it, so can't comment on it.
It's a free download, don't know if it only works with my card or not. Don't know if it screws other drivers up so try at your own risk.
