  1. I am fairly new to this, but I had successfully burned a DVD a couple of months ago, and just this week I started out transferring home movies (8mm) to DVD. I am using the Nero Software Suite for all of this.

I got my first DVD set and burned, only to find out that the audio, which is plenty loud on the source AVI, is virtually non-existant on the DVD. If I crank the volume on the TV (or computer) I can barely hear it. So I burned it again, this time with the volume up to 167% but the result was the same.

The only thing I did differently from the successful burn earlier was that I didn't convert the AVI to MPEG2 before burning, but rather let Nero do it all at once.

If anyone has any idea what might be going on or how I can fix it I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

Try converting it to mpeg2 with tmpgenc. See how that turns out.
