  1. Hi,
I have a Liteon 5005 and I tried to connect it to the firewire out from my computer and see if I could push out from Premiere Pro and record on the DVD, but the dvd recorder doesn't see any signal coming in.
Is this normal or there is a way to make it work?
    Thank you

Can you push to your camcorder?

  3. Yes, I regularly edit videos and then push them back to the camcorder with Premiere Pro and Pinnacle Studio 9.
Do you know if the computer to DVD deck is something that is usually possible, or it is a fail?
    Thank you for your help.

Try pluging your camcorder into the DVD deck and see if the deck can record from it.

Also try using some simple software on the pc, such as DIVO. Perhaps the software you are using wants to detect and recognise the device at the other end. If DIVO works, then try WinDV.

  5. The DVD deck detects the camcorder, but doesn't record from it because the DVD deck is NTSC and the camcorder is PAL. But I can control the camcorder with the DVD remote control.
What kind of programs are DIVO and WinDV?

DIVO and WinDV transfer video to and from the 1394 (firewire). Goto Tools and downlaod them.

This rarely works, tho I have heard a couple of people with specific set ups claiming success.
