Very VERY sad news. Dimebag Darrell shot dead.

I just heard on TV about Dimebag's killer, whose mother stated he had paranoid schizophrenia and that he had a medical discharge from the USMC for that reason. He also believed that he'd written Pantera's songs himself. If this is true then the guy was obviously deeply disturbed.

Unfortunately, until clubs start doing a better job with security, there will continue to be a risk for this sort of thing to happen.....

His mother also claims to have bought the gun for him.
If my child had mental probs like him, I'm not so sure that having a gun is a great idea

some of his friends said they stopped even talking to the guy because he snapped. he was talkin to himself and was actin weird. so yeah, the guy who did it was off the deep end. crazy ass world.

my friend started actin weird and talkin all crazy....so we got him some help. took even callin the cops. we found out he had bi polar. now he's fine.

point being if somebody has a prob and you call them a friend or even family, get them help no matter the cost. just a friendly public reminder

Hard to believe they let people like this walk the street. If everybody knew he was nuts, why let him stay free?

The problem is that it's not a crime to be crazy - not that it should be. It gets into issues dealing with "prior restraint", etc. Most people with these conditions don't shoot others, but then they shouldn't have guns either, in my opinion.

I couldn't believe it when I heard it. Not only the guitarist but all of those other innocent people that died as well. I live near Columbus and from what I saw on the news, it affected many people who didn't even know the one's who died.

Such a shame that a person is capable of doing such a bad thing.
