I was wondering why I would recieved a lot of macroblock, artifacts or pixelation, whatever it is call when i transcode tbe original dvd to fit a dvdr. I use deep analysis and even tried all the setting(smooth, sharp, max sharp, max smooth). I have a 12x lite-on sohw 1213s dvd burner. It comes on quite often.

Read http://www.digitalfaq.com/dvdcopy/shrink/dvdshrink.htm It should solve most of your problem.
Otherwise in one statement, I should say size does matter! -
Also, check (play) the compressed files from your hard drive and see if the same artifacts are present. Poor compatibility between your stand-alone player and your media can produce the things you are describing.

the artifacts are shown when i play it on the computer after i have transcode it. Some how my cousin, did the same thing but theirs does not produce artifcats. Could it be my computer or the burner? When i just ripped the movie into the hd with dvd decrypter it's fine. So i'm thinking its not the burner.

It may be too compressed already, the source DVDs. Are you and your cousin doing the SAME disc?
