I have 5 Fujifilm DVD+RW discs that have had for about 3-4 months. Now I get "This is not an erasable disc" or Disc not recognized. These +RW seem like a PITA. I was able to burn with no problem a +R disc but these +RW are hit or miss. Are Fujifilms junk??? Is it possible for a bad DVR to "spoil" media???

    Thanks

Are there any spots in the dye, or too many scratches on the discs?
Fujifilm is just a brand name, it means nothing. What is the MEDIA ID?

You really might not be looking closely or looking AT ALL. It is on the first page. Download a copy of DVDInfoPro and everything will be clear

How to get ID is shown here: www.nomorecoasters.com

    Look halfway down the page.

    RTFM.

About half-way down the page there's a big heading that says "How to determine Media ID and Write Strategy" with instructions on how to check the Media ID.

    ... Or there's this sticky ...
    If in doubt, Google it.

Most RW disks are 'guaranteed' (who's going to ask for a refund?) for about 1000 burns.

Bad luck with the Verbatim - Code RICOHJPNW11

Can you tell by the DVDinfoPro info if a DVD+RW is "bad". How different is the DVD+RW process???

I will be trying Sony - SONY S11
