    okay, I saw an .ogm file and I'm curious wtf it is? and can it be converted to mpeg2 with like tmpg or whutever?

    I searched and saw something about xvid? so i'm thinking yes..

    its not video!? i saw a dvd rip and it said blah blah.ogm but its supposed to be a video of a tv show? =\

    try install https://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=OGG_DirectShow_Filter_OggDS_OGM_Codec and you can open it in tmpgenc(wont always work though). you might need the divx/xvid codecs also.

    The common format you may see is Xvid video and ogg audio. Ogg audio is a very compact audio format. Better than MP3 for efficiency, IMHO.
