  1. I am trying to capture video from my VCR using ATI's MultiMedia Center software, but it won't let me. The video and audio comes in fine (I can see/hear it in the preview pane, but the Start Recording button on the MMC Control Panel is greyed out. I've been told that's usually a sign of trying to record protected content or a full hard drive but neither is the case here.

For what it's worth, I am using a 9600 All in Wonder Pro and version 9.03 of the ATI MultiMedia Center software. I had the same problem with version 8.6. I thought the upgrade would fix the problem but it didn't. Also, I'm running WinXP Pro with Service Pack 2 installed. Any advice would be much appreciated. I'm completely at a loss. Thanks.

Try ATI MMC 8.7 and the drivers from early in 2004 (not latest ones). Most stable setup. UNINSTALL all old stuff FIRST.
