One of my sisters friends who lives out of town asked me this question and I can't help them. I am unfamilar with the equipment he is using.
I recently bought a Sony compact disc recorder Mod#RCD-W50C/W10 so that I could convert my old Records 78's and 331/3 To CD.
*I am running it through a Mitsubishi receiver. All connections seem to be OK I can listen to Tape ,CD,Record or Radio. The Meter on the CD recorder indicates it is getting input but when I start recording I get error messages and can't seem to get a CD recorded.
Thank you

Would help to know what the error message is. It could be the cd blanks he/she is using. Most if not all conusmer cd recorders requre the use of special blanks that indicate they are made for stand alone cd recorders. These blanks have a special code on them the player reads. The blanks have royalties charged on them. They will be usually be described as Musci or Audio cdr's.

according to

This is a non-PC device which requires 'Audio' or 'Music' blank CD-R's.
There is a picture there.
