Sorry to ask this again, but when I did a search of
this topic I could not find a conclusive answer...
Can TMPGEnc encode 4GB .avi files on Win98SE?
I am able to capture 4GB .avi files with AVI_IO
and am wondering if I will have problems
encoding a 4GB file with TMPGEnc. Anyone
have experience with this?
Thanks,

I think you should be OK with 4GB file, but just to be safe I would capture 3.8GB or 3.9GB files.

Open up the first file in virtual dub, the rest will load automatically (this is if you multisegmented due to the file size limit) and frameserve. or use the following avisynth script (d/l avisynth at videotools.net)
SegmentedAVISource("avi_io_capture_0.avi"
remember to use the full path to the first file. -
Thanks, yes I understand that FAT32 creates the 4GB file size limitation. The question was whether not TMPGEnc will encode a 4GB .avi file in Win98SE.

Cool, thanks for the info. I will capture to 3.8GB and let you know how it goes.
