My wife has now decreed that she wants to talk to her relatives overseas by web cam and yahoo. I have a digital still camera, and a DV Cam. Can I use one of these? or do I have to dash out and get a special one? Is yahoo the best way to go? I'd be obliged if one of you young post whores made yourself useful and offered a bit of advise.

Go buy one... some (very few) DV cameras have a streaming function via their USB interface. Cam's will run you $29.00 to $49.00

Works ok but, even when Yahoo recognizes broadband the refresh rate is not great. Someone else recommended Netmeeting (cam and chat) and maybe Skype (audio)
