Read Error During Burning, Help Please!

I came across this program at a garage sale about three months ago and I have finally got some time (between school and my daughter) to make a backup copy of it. But the problem is during burning I get "read errors" on three of the disc's and the burn fails or stops I should say. Total disc's in the set is 17 and all but 3 copied. I tried to do on the fly and image to hard drive. I have used Nero and Instant Copy trying both ways. I then tried to copy with ignore read errors checked as to just see if it would copy the errors and I get the same error! I tried it both ways, image to hard drive and on the fly with ignore read errors checked. I then tried to do with copy errors and it still wouldn't work. I have now coastered 7 disc's and decided to ask for help! Anyone have some information on another program that maybe I can try or some other method?

By the way, I do not see any visible scratches that would cause the read errors.

try something like alcohol to make and image.. and set it to ignore errors.. then mount that image in alcohol ot make sure it works.. if so then burn that.. dont do on the fly burning becasue if there are any errors it will fail every time.. it has to keep up with teh writing when reading.. thats alot of work.

Ok guys, thanks for the reply! Sorry I took so long to get back to ya but I had some computer problems! Wife let some trojans into the computer and I dont mean the condom's either So needless to say I had to restore the computer and re-install everything plus I had a couple of finals at school. I did try Alcohol and that did not work either so I will try isobuster next. Once again thanks for the help and sorry it took so long for me to get back to ya!
