I think Bulldog do a 400k upstream service, but they have a bad rep amongst some of their customers.Originally Posted by Hardcoreruss

Hello,
Update Flaystus???? You broadband yet????
KevinDonatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Matter of fact yes! Since just last night I have an update.
They said 1 to 2 weeks, at almost 2 weeks they have not even come out for the survey so I call and get told "you can't get it" by the person who answers the phones.
At last I get ahold of the installer and he explains that there is some confusion because somebody with almost the same name was trying to get it at the same time and didn't qualify.
The long and the short of it? If things go as the SHOULD I must stay at the house between 11am an 2pm to await my install. -
Yeah its also cold and rainy. I hope he doesn't blow it off today. I just entered the 4 hour window of time he gave me to show up.
-
Have your ears become hypersensitive to passing vehicles and footsteps outside?
Regards,

Give it time
The installer might still show up.
When I used to do fixed wireless, the minimum amount of time at a customers house was three hours.
You never know what you will run across. -

Supposedly! He is suppose to call to reschedule, who knows how long it will be this time.
Status: Awaiting Status -
Update: Exactly what I said, got to cold and wet and was scared of icey roofs. Solution?
"I'm all booked up today and don't work tomorrow. How about sometime next week?"

True story. I moved in October, had broadband cable at my old address, and had installation at my new address pre-scheduled for the day after my move ... giving me, in theory, only one day's worth of downtime. On the morning they were to come, I was up early (they were scheduled as sometime between 8-10 AM), played a few games of Solitaire on the computer, then turned it off to watch some TV. They showed up promptly at 8 AM. And, with the cable people standing behind me, I pressed the computer's "on" button and ... nothing happened. Then they tried it ... and nothing happened. So, they left. Took the computer into the shop. My computer, apparently, chose that exact moment to fry the power supply (sigh). I got it repaired rather quickly ... but had to wait a week for the next available appointment. Ugh.
-
When last we left the story I was suppose to recieve a call to make sure if I wanted it installed Monday or Tuesday depending on when he had free. We pretty much decided on Monday if an appointment could be had first thing in the morning and tuesday if not.
I just later realized he never called back like he said and today is their first day back to work because of the holiday. So this morning i get to find out if the big day is today or tomorrow.
This whole process blows. -

Update. Well all morning I'm calling the installers number and getting "This customer is not accepting calls at this time... blah blah blah"
So I call the main office and get told "his battery ran down" ok sounds like hes in do not disturb to me but ok have him call me please to verify if I have an appointment for tomorrow since he never called me back from LAST WEEK.
I sleep with the phone next to my head, he never called back.
So unless I get ahold of him tomorrow and he says he's coming out THAT DAY I'm done with this company, its a bunch of bullshit dealing with them and if its not installed this will be the 2nd day off of mine that they ruined. -
I'm sorry to hear that Flaystus. Incompetence really gets my ass hairs up. You're not alone ...we're doing the same dance with a body shop in town ....five firm completion dates changed already on my son's car repair :P
