A DVD I burned recently is working fine on some players but has produced an odd effect with the audio on another.
The video and audio play smoothly and in sync but the audio volume is quiet before suddenly moving up to the actual volume for a beat or two and then quiet again. I'm told the effect is like listening to music through a faulty speaker.
I suspect this is an encoding or compatibility issue but I haven't been able to determine the cause. The content was edited as a DV AVI with a 48kHz stereo soundtrack, converted into m2v using TMPGEnc Plus (soundtrack unchanged), and then authored with DVD-Lab. So the soundtrack should be uncompressed audio, which is how I wanted it. The DVDs used are Datawrite Red V3 4.7GB -R.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
