    I remember a few years ago I tried two monitors and found that it dogged the entire computer. I was using a G200 and a cheapy PCI card. However, I see a lot of cards now allow for two monitors, because they have a VGA out and a DVI out. Since you can get a DVI -> VGA connector, you can hook up two monitors. Will it slow things down? Ideally I'd like to play a game on the primary monitor and have my windows desktop on the other, to monitor IM conversations, etc....

    yeah there it, the videocard will perform 1/2 as well as with one monitor depending on the resolution.. if both monitors are the same.. it is also dependent on the vidoecard itself.. but for the most part there will be a hit in FPS..

    9600xt. It's not really sold as a dual-monitor card, like a Matrox may be...

    It looks like it has a dvi out port on it.

    You would probably have to feed the signal out to the tv.
