  1. I've made a chapter menu with 5 programs/cells, each program is 1 scenes menu. Is it possible to specify the highlight for any button other than button 1 in a celled menu such as this? My vm code is supposed to highlight the current chapter playing, by reading current chapter into general register, doing the appropriate manipulations on it, and then setting the highlihgt button to that, but it ALWAYS defaults to button 1 on the correct menu. No matter if i hard code the LinkCN X (button Y) to highlight say button 3. Still it highlights button 1.

    Any ideas?

  3. a combination of dvd lab pro, and dvd remake pro, because i have merged a dvd made in dlp and and old dvd i had. The menu i'm having a problem with is the old imported dvd, which in the chapters menu, there are 5 cells, each having a video still with 4 thumbnails. these are buttons 1 to 4. each of these cells has a cell command, so that they loop back to the start of each cell, hence they are not seamless.

I have coded the root menu, to call up the chapter menu when the user presses menu on the remote; it enter the chapter menu and gets the current chapter playing, and does manipulations on that to see which cell it should open, and which thumbnail it should hilight. This code to all intents and purposes works on every other dvd, and indeed is the same as i used in the dlp for the first part of the dvd.

Now when i call up the menu from the movie, it goes to the correct cell, but only highlights button 1, even if button 2,3 or 4 should have been highlighted.

Now when i replaced the vm code with static values, to see if it can highlight other than button 1 and it didn't. I set the button highlihgt to being 3, and it still bought up 1.

Its odd, because the only thing different about these 2 dvd's, is that my 3 celled' menu made by dlp works wonderfully well, and the one outputted by drm has 5 cells, and highlights do not work.

Is this a limitation of dvd spec's? Perhaps these menu's were made different than normal menus and you are not able to specify button highlights - they just default to 1. aaaarg
