HELP: VCD that also plays autorun in any computer ..

OK - I am going nuts with this one.

I have a 10-15 min video that I want to send to people (invitation) and have them watch it either on their DVD player or computer. (And I need to assume that NOT everyone has a DVD SW program on their computer.)

My first trick was dropping the ENTIRE clip into Photodex Proshow gold which has an option for a autoplay. It creates an EXE that has the file inside and runs automatically with and autorun.inf file. AND it works fine on DVDS. - Problem there was the voice and Video are out of sync on the PC part even though the VCD is fine ...
So except for bad sync issues this runs both on PC and computer. I know this was out of the scope for this product because it is meant for photos and I used it for a 15 min video

I then did lots of searches including an article on this site https://www.videohelp.com/autorun.htm
and it said that I should create an autorun.inf that runs mplayer2 and point to the \MPEGAV\avseq01.dat file.
Well first -i was failing because it did not find the mplayer2.exe (yes it was in the path) so I got it working on the PC .. by adding the mplayer2 file onto the disk. So it worked great on the PC - BUT - now it won't play on the DVD I guess because of these un-standard files just thrown in
(the way I did it at first was make a "normal" VCD copy the files to a PC add the autorun and mplayer then reburn it (as a data disk))
So now I'm dead again ...
(I also notice the pictures in that guide have Nero doing stuff I can't get to - adding files to a disk whne in VCD mode - not sure which version)

Read lots more found a problem is the burning SW (NERO,NEO,EZ CD CREATOR ...) won't allow to stick in extra files when in VCD mode .. and I guess in Data mode I am missing something that tells it , that I am a VCD.

Read something that said that "VCDeasy" would be my answer because it has an ISO tab to add files in properly. So I tried that (free version from German site) - and created a bin . Of course my PC can't burn from that SW - and it seems most can't Learned that I needed to convert to ISO so got WINISO to convert. Then burnt the ISO image -
THAT - will not play in my DVD player AND won't work on the PC at all. NOT autorun and not if I try to take the avseq01.dat file and force into windows media player.

I am now about to just put an MPEG file in the "extra" directory and have instructions .. IF THIS DOES NOT START WHEN YOU PUT IN PC THEN ....
But that just seems too low tech.

Any advice on how to get to this.

which nero version are you using.
