Well, everyone likes something different, but the group must've got the message, as I don't remember them playing anything live from either the Tormato (aka 'Tomato') LP or Drama. Did they ever do Machine Messiah in concert? I don't recall if they did or not.

I wished I could have seen Heart during there peak. Too young and when I was of age they became too 80's and became fluffy sounding. -garman

@ garman - Ann & Nancy were something to see in the '70s!!
Try to track down a boot copy of California Jam 2 - I was able to get a DVD of it off ebay.
Some other shows are out there as well...but I think it's mostly very early '80s (still doing their '70s stuff though) -

Will Rock You, I think that falls under anthem, rather than "quintessential" Now I'm thinking about hockey. -garman -

The DVD is not the complete broadcast but has Ebony Eyes, 2 Heart performances (even though 3 were broadcast) along with a few other artists - cool lineup and great show! -

This is in regards to "Bob Welch" did he not do a song in the 70's called sentimental journey. I was very young but i enjoy playing it now and then, kind of laid back feel to it.
Now that being sai,d how about a quintessential laid back tune any takers. -garman -

Bob Welch:
With some help from Christine McVie, Mick Fleetwood, and Lindsey Buckingham, he successfully re-released 'Sentimental Lady' (originally released in 1972 from the Bare Trees album) and had another hit with a song called 'Ebony Eyes' in 1978. Also assisting him on his albums was guitarist Todd Sharp."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -

The Fleetwood Mac version is better, IMO...but both version get much airplay. -
Thanks BJ_M
Semtimental Lady you say, well i should fix my Nomad. It's been wrong all this time.
You know the one thing I miss about 70's 80's rock is that high pitch scream during a song. Don't hear that anymoreOne day my friend the scream shall rise again. -garman

No vocals in this tune. But remember "Frankenstien" that was one of the greatest riffs of all time. The guitar solo absolutely blows me away. Don't see any new artist trying to re-hash that baby. -garman

that reminded me though of Jethro Tull 'aqualung' - somehow .."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -

For some reason, Lindsey tried to keep Stevie toned down for the Mac albums - she was always far more passionate and could blow people away when she was doing the songs her way in the studio and live. -
Jethro Tull glam rock, never thought I'd hear that. Mind you aqualung was the only song I knew. Oh yeah I remember bungle in the jungle. That one was all right.
Glam rock - Bon Jovi, Motley Crew, Def Leoppard? (maybe). I'm sure there are tons out there -garman -
Just about anything from Cheap Trick or Rush. See them live if you can. Their records suck compared to the live stuff.
