In our office kitchen there is about 1/2 a cheese pizza that was left out overnight. I put it in the refrigerator this morning.
Do I eat it or not?

In theory u shouldnt let warmed ,milk based products cool to room temp and set too long. However, I do it all of the time without recourse.

Or just scrape the cheese off. No problem with bread left out.

Not sure what to do with a pizza that's been left out all night? What kind of a sheltered life have you lived?
Just kidding. Ask any bachelor. They'll tell you."There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon." -- Raoul Duke -
it tastes better that way also

And if you make homemade bread. The next day is AS GOOD if not BETTER than straight out of the oven.

The pizza looks OK. I think I'll give a slice a try. If you stop hearing from me after a couple of days just assume that I died from food poisioning. If it merely gives me the runs, expect full details.

I'm eating some right now. Had some yesterday, too. Do it all the time. No problems... yet.

I am a student. That forms the bulk of my diet.
Slop a bit of salad cream or ketchup on it. Delicious! -
Rule of thumb: If the cheese and toppings aren't as dried and crunchy as the crust is, then it's still good. Next day left out all night pizza is fine. It's kinda like the three second rule.

That pizza probably has enough chemicals in it to kill any bacteria.
Just scrape off the green fuzzy stuff and enjoy.

Hey I like the green fuzzy stuff! I'd pay extra for it if they offered it.

With most pizza now, there's not enough real milk based cheese to worry about it!

Now we have more pizza (not left out overnight) in our conference room. This other pizza has meat on it. I might try to get some of that instead.

The British government apparently doesn't think it's safe:
http://www.food.gov.uk/news/newsarchive/2004/sep/studenteating
"Leftover takeaways — If you really want to, there’s nothing wrong with eating a bit of leftover pizza or curry for breakfast, as long as it’s been kept in the fridge. But you mustn’t eat it if it’s been left out at room temperature overnight. In the right conditions, one bacterium could multiply to thousands of millions in twelve hours. Remember to cool leftovers within one to two hours and then put them in the fridge. If you reheat them, make sure they are piping hot all the way through."
Of course you can find millions of people that have eaten leftover-unrefridgated pizza with no bad result. If you're one of the millions it's fine. If one of the sick or dead then it was a bad idea. -

some bacterium is good for you anyway ...
half the problems today are from people trying to kill them .."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -

Test it on a domestic pet. Wait 15. If pet survives, consume (pizza.. not the pet)
If at the office, heat and serve a slice to boss.
Wait 15. -
You sick a** licking f**ktard bastard of a person. You've been on this earth enough years to know that eating dry and fairly clean looking candy off the floor, though frowned upon, may only give you an upset stomach on very few occasions. This means eating a pizza that's been in the box and kept from outside elements even for 2 days, is still good as long as you nuke it for 25 seconds. I'm not claiming responsibility for people who eat candy that's half eaten, stale, wet and/or moldy for one reason or another, or has blackened scratched marks with dust bunnies. That's just plain sick.
But dang heck with all mercy of god, 2-day old Pizza can still be good if you nuke it for 25 seconds. After 3 days (if you haven't completely eaten the pizza by then) you're venturing into uncharted waters and you might need to check for penicillin forming and possibly nuke for 50 seconds. An important part of bachelorhood is having a good supply of Pepto. If you ain't got it, dude, you're living like a caveman.
