  1. Just little bit off-topic but worth a shot.... I have managed to get a graph on graphedit software to work very nicely with my TV Wonder VE so after I outputted the raw closed captions in a test run then I used ccparser but I got header error so I wonders if you have any tips on successfully get the file processed though ccparser without any errors also is there a converter that will convert the output to approciate file that can be read by Nero 5.5.3 burning software for burning VCD's?

    Thank you in advance!

CCParser is designed to work with the raw captions from a DVD, but broadcast/VCR raw captions are in a different format. You can convert to one of various subtitle formats using tools at my site, http://www.geocities.com/mcpoodle43/SCC_TOOLS/DOCS/SCC_TOOLS.HTML. In particular, RAW2SCC.EXE will convert the raw captions into SCC format (which is how Maestro and Scenarist add closed captions to DVDs), and CCASDI.EXE with the "-s" option will convert an SCC file into a SubRip file. Both of these are command-line tools; run either one without any arguments to learn how to use them in detail (or go back to my site).

    Hope that helps,

P.S. Near as I can tell, VCD closed captioning doesn't work, or at least, I have yet to come across any VCD with working captions or a DVD player that could support them--I would love to be proven wrong on this. In the meantime, you would have to burn the subtitle into the video as open subtitles, or switch to SVCD format and use SVCD subtitles.
