Hi,
I know that this topic has been up a number of times but I just wanted to share my input (and look for an solution). I have a GeForce Ti4600 128mb and its about 2.5 years old. I have had the black border problem once before, this after a upgrade of the drivers, but it got fixed once I "downgraded" again. I did a new installation of xp a late as this summer, downloaded the drivers at nvidia and was up and running with the normal settings (clone, overlay and fullscreen at sec screen). Now I just reinstalled due to upgrading the processor and board, downloaded the 66.93 drivers and got the black borders. I have tried some other drivers but I have had no luck and I dont remember the version I had installed before, but they should be the once that was released just before summer.
Does this say anything to any other people out there? Do you have the same experience? Then post the version you got it to work on and we can see if this works for more. I tried the TvTool but I don't really like it. The fullscreen option removes some of the picture and the desktop mode still gives black borders, only smaller.
Hope this can help someone.

Just where/when do you get the black borders ? Is it on the desktop ?
I have GeForce 4 Ti4600 with 61.77 drivers. The only changes I can remember after installing new drivers were the resolution & refresh rate.
I know some have had problems after installing drivers without uninstalling the previous but these were usually glitches affecting certain programs.
Do your monitor V. & H. position controls or the NVidia Screen Adjustment not make any difference ?
One other possibility might be the monitor driver is missing/corrupt. (I only have experience of using an analogue monitor.)
Is there not a black border on a flat panel monitor if screen resolution not set to the native resolution ?
Have you d/l the User Guides - maybe the answer is there. -
Sorry. Was a bit unclear. The problem is on the tv not on the desktop/monitor. I use the clone feature and uses the secondary (tv) screen as fullscreen device.
