  2. hi 8)

have u tried leaving the audio and video together and importing them as a whole into main concept, using layer 2 in the audio. another way is to use tmpg encoder this does a good job of converting using the wizard. hope this is some use

junkmalle after doing that do i convert my AVI to VCD using Mainconcept righ away? will Mainconcept automatically get the changes i made in AC3Filter?

will my VCD movie have a increase volume if i played using my VCD player? or is this change in AC3Filter master gain only applicable when i play the movie in my computer?

It applies the gain to the audio file itself, so you'll notice it no matter what you play the VCD on.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  7. VCD only supports MPEG audio. So AC3 audio has to be converted to MPEG audio for VCD. Any program that uses the AC3Filter to uncompress the AC3 audio will get louder audio after you change that setting.

I don't know anything about MainConcept. If it uses the installed AC3Filter your audio should get louder. If MainConcept uses its own AC3 decoder that setting won't make any difference.
