    Hello--
I have an MPEG 2 file of which I am trying to cut out commercials. I know how to use TMPGEnc to do this correctly, however I am having audio synch issues. Awhile back when I first found out how to use this program to Merge and Cut, I saw their were other programs that do the same thing. I am hoping to try one of those for better results, but now I can't find the original tutorial. Can somebody help me out with some recommendations? Thanks

  2. I recommend getting VirtualDub Mpeg. Basicly it is VD with the ability to open MPEG files. Edit your video with that, then transcode it back to TMPEG Encoder.

This is the tutorial I was looking for earlier. Hopefully Womble Mpeg2VCR will work better!

And if that doesn't work, try VideoRedo next.

  5. I heard that after merging the whole film in TMPGEnc, you should split audio and video again and then remerge them once more and the audio desync would be gone. Has anyone tested it ?

I can see reasons why that would work. Worth a shot.
