    i am a novice at using tmpenc and would like to know how to join files with different (picture)sizing as i have leftover files i wish to join but they donot seem compatible and tmp won't accept.

    that is not possible, you could convert one of the clips to exact same settings as the other and join.

    rendode you mpeg to to what the other one is. pal 25fps, ntsc 29fps,or ntsc film 23fps. if you dont know what the file is open it in virtual dub and click file information.
