    Hi, I have been using TMPgenc for a LONG time now and has been completely fine, until only yesterday I selected an already mpeg (well thats what it says but when I tried to burn to vcd on nero says need to convert to mpeg) to convert to mpeg1 and selected PAL in TMPgenc but when I set the start frame and end frame there wernt any sound wavs indicating that the sound was not being a part of the conversion.

    This is true because at the end of the conversion there was not any sound compared to the original.

    plz help me with this problem, and I am sorry about the explanation of the problem.
    Im a newbie so plz dont get angry with me. Safe
    Peace

    Have you put the MPEG into AVIcodec to see what type of sound file it has? You may need to demux out the sound to WAV with something like Virtualdubmod and select that file with TMPGEnc, along with the video.

    yo, uh i got AVIcodec and virtualdubmod, the audio type according AVIcodec is;
    3.7MB, 32Kbps, 44100Hz, 1 channels, 0x51 = Mpeg-1 audio layer 2 [0xc0], supported.

    so how do i exactly demux out the sound to WAV with virtualdubmod?

    I had suspicioned that you had a MP3 VBR audio that TMPGEnc has problems with, but although the audio bitrate is low and the sound is mono, it looks OK for VCD.

    But, to demux with Virtualdubmod, you click on 'Streams', then 'Stream List' and you will see 'Save WAV'. When you start up TMPGEnc select the video and the new WAV sound file that VDM created.
