I'm trying to make my first motion menu for a dvd (PAL), but I'm not sure what resolution I should make the images I import into Adobe Premiere...
Should I design the images with a resolution of 768x576 and then resize to 720x576 as I would when making a still menu or just import them to premiere in the original resolution?
thanks

Well, when i do motion menus, the main background is in motion..Therefore a size of 720x576 is a given...
But as far as buttons are concerned, i don't take too much time pondering over them, since they're getting resized down to, well..... buttons
So yes, go and import full sized pics, and you can't go wrong. I'll assume you know how to resize within Premiere...
Good luck!!!
Edited...Didn't notice you were in PAL land... -
Personally I resize all my images in my image editor. You have more flexibility and if you have a good editor it will have the 4:3 and 16:9 ratio crop box so you can crop them accordingly and your images won't become skewed.
