  1. ok i converted my avi to m2v using TMPGenc and the audio using besweet. all converted fine. Then when i load them into tmpgenc dvd author it says the dvd files will be 3gb which is fair enough. it then takes about 4min (too short) to convert to DVD files and the outcome is only 500mb with half the movie missed of end. any ideas? Thanks in advance!

You may need to encode the audio and video into a single file in TMPGENC, then import that into Author and see if the results are different.

How big is that m2v file before you import it into TMPGEnc DVD Author?

Do you have enough free space on your hard drive?

Can you open the m2v and view it, making sure there are no glitches in it that might be causing TMPGEnc DVD Author to abort in the middle?

I'm not claiming to be an expert, your problem may be any of the above... or something completely different that I have thought of...

I had that type of problem and what i did to correct it was run the m2v thru tmpgenc mpeg tools merge and cut.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.
