I have never had this happen before but I have a Ilo Hd04 recorder and a JVC dvd player with a Sima Ct-2 between them. Well, when I am setting up a recording session to record a dvd from the JVC player the remote for the ILO recorder inteferes and pulls up the JVC menus and using the remote for the JVC does similar things to the ILO recorder. Obviously, both are using the same remote codes.
My question is there something I can do to correct this? Do I need to get another brand dvd player? It is aggravating when I am trying to get the recorder to record from a certain scene and the remote progress' to another menu. Also pressing display on one remote brings up the display for both player and recorder and its a fight to get both of them to clear the screen.
Any suggestions?

Seems to me you may have to get off the sofa and walk up to the machines to manually activate your commands.

No, but thank you! I am truly sorry for this with your situation, but I've been trying to find a code for my Oneforall remote that will operate the iLO. I'll try JVC.
Sometimes, my VCR's would have different remote channels you could select that would keep this from happening. -
Most of the upper price range JVC VCRs in 9xxx series have the ability to support 2 different remote control command sets. I have a 9500 and a 9600 S-vhs VCR and am able to have different remotes (without interference) for each of them by following the set up instructions in the manual for two VCRs.

Yep, looks like I will be "getting up" to push buttons on the ilo and the jvc. What a pain, what did I ever do before "remote control"....The JVC is an older one about 4 years old (JVC XV-S30BK) so I think I will purchase another and one of my sons can inherit the JVC.
To Belder: who was needing a code for the ilo to use with his all in one remote: I hope the info helps you with the ilo, at least my problem had something good come out of it. Thanks for responding
I would like a dvd player with several outputs is something like that available? -
carter2004,
Thanks, but the JVC codes will drive you crazy. It's just close enough to turn on the iLO, but far anough away to have buttons do other things. In other words, "0" will turn on the power. The arrow down will scan the channels. You get the idea.
I had the same problem with my Apex 1500 and my Goldstar Tv. Then you got me thinking what would happen if you got two iLO machines? I guess they assume that if someone ever bought one of their recorders, they'd never buy another one.
