Here's what I'm trying to do and I need to know if it's possible and how to do it. I want to add a link (button) to a menu that the user can click and it will play the audio track, but not leave the menu. I don't want it to be menu background audio and I don't want to have to leave the menu. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Can't do it.
What you can do is have a second menu that looks just like the first, but has the audio you want to play back associated with it (drag and drop from the assets bin). Put an auto timeout at the end so it returns to the main menu when finished.
I know the DVD of the Mummy has a feature whereby if you leave the special features menu running, it eventually switches to the movie's orchestral soundtrack. I believe it does this by auto-switching to a copy menu with the audio attached.Read my blog here.
