    After downloading all these codecs and installing them, where should I put them, is there a folder like in windows that all the stuff should go ?

    If you have installed them, then they should now be where they need to be. Copy the installer files to CD in case you ever need to reinstall windows.

    Be carefull installing codecs willy-nilly (I think that's first time I have ever typed that), as some of them can clash and cause problems. Best to install only the ones you absolutely need, and do it one at a time.
