IIRC, Google-watch was started by someone who tried to game Google's ranking system, and then got pissed when they found out and changed the system so he couldn't game it anymore.

yeah i know some of the points are pure bs. but some of the others arent. the main thing is how much privacy do we really have? i know this is probably true with the other search's and webmails. its just kind of scary how much data might they really have on you? and how much access?

True, but how many people are relying on their GMail account for business-critical sensitive emails ?

They can read my VideoHelp forum reply emails all they want...
    If in doubt, Google it.

If I were the least bit worried about being reeled in by the thought police for cyber mind crimes, I would have never logged onto the net in the first place.

    Just because you're paranoid...

When it all comes down to it, what's available about you is what you make available. Some things are public record, but little of that ties in with things like email. Especially if you don't choose to use your own real personal info when signing up.

  11. From reading Kevin Mitnick's The Art of Deception and Frank Abagnale's The Art of the Steal I've learnt that privacy really doesn't exist in today's society.
