Half the 5.1 ac3 Streams I've been extracting from avi files lately don't seem to convert properly (to 5.1 ac3 DVD stream) in BeSweet/AC3 Machine. They seem to get massively distorted. Some do and some don't. Has anyone else ran into this problem. Is there a solution? Im not changing any of the settings. Am I missing something? Please help![]()

Look, let me explain something. I'm not Mr. Lebowski; you're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. That, or Duder. His Dudeness. Or El Duderino, if, you know, you're not into the whole brevity thing--

why reconvert them at all? or are you lowering the bitrate?
if you can't import them in authoring tools try just run beslice includec in besplit or ac3fix gui. -
Okay I will give that a try. I was under the impression that you had to re-encode a 5.1 .ac3 from an .avi to work properly as a 5.1 .ac3 DVD stream. Thanks for the suggestion, I will give it a shot.
Is there a freeware program so that I can listen to the streams after they have been processed?Look, let me explain something. I'm not Mr. Lebowski; you're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. The ac3 in avi is the same as in dvds. ac3=ac3.
Install ac3 filter and then play with windows media player or any other directshow player like Media Player Classic. -
Okay maybe I'm doing something wrong here...
AC3Fix GUI:
Extracted the files from this zip. The read me stated the the ac3fix .exe needed to be in the same folder as the ac3fix gui executable. Went to process the stream after setting input and output and nothing happened
BeSplit:
I don't have a clue as to how to use Command Line programs, So I tried using the BeSplice GUI for Be Split only to find out when I click on it it just brings up a small picture of the old man from the BeSweet icon.
Be patient with me I know I probably sound like a noob.Look, let me explain something. I'm not Mr. Lebowski; you're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. That, or Duder. His Dudeness. Or El Duderino, if, you know, you're not into the whole brevity thing-- -
just drag the ac3 file on the beslice old man and it will create a new working ac3.
