  1. I have an avi file that I ran threw gspot and it said I had 2 codecs installed that can handle the file, I also changed the priority of the avi in TMPGEnc but that still has not worked, tmpgenc keeps telling me the file is unsupported. Any ideas on what else I could do ?

It might help if you posted the GSpot results.

You might try opening the file in virtual dub and frameserving to tmpgenc.

What he said .... It'll be much easier if we can see what you're dealing with ...
    If in doubt, Google it.

That's cool - I went to edit my post, and for some reason it then edited my post, as well as creating a new post with exactly the same thing in it. I quickly edited the second post
    If in doubt, Google it.

Ok, you've got the dreaded VBR MP3 audio to start with - load your AVI into Virtualdub and use this guide to extract the audio out to a WAV file.

Next, make sure you have the divX 3 low-Motion codec installed - even though it says you have two compatible codecs, you might need the actual codec itself, and not just a later version that can decode it.

If worst comes to worst, you could always open the file in virtualdub and frameserve to TMPGEnc using this guide.
    If in doubt, Google it.
