  1. Everytime I try to Convert a Specific .Bin (Movie Files, .r00, r01, etc) to VCD or SVCD using ffmpegx, I keep getting the same errors.
Here is the error I get when I try to convert a .Bin to VCD:

    VCD - mpeg1 (ffmpeg)
Encoding started on Thu Dec 2 15:13:11 AST 2004
    usage: movtoy4m -w width -h height -F a:b -a a:b [-s] [-f] [-o ppm/y4m] movie.mov
    example: movtoy4m -w 352 -h 288 -F 25:1 -a 4:3 pal_normal.mov
    example: movtoy4m -w 352 -h 240 -F 30000:1001 -a 16:9 ntsc_wide.mov
    pipe:: Error while opening file

    And the other is:

    VCD - mpeg1 (mpeg2enc)
Encoding started on Thu Dec 2 15:15:21 AST 2004
INFO: [yuvscaler] yuvscaler (version 1.7.0) is a general scaling utility for yuv frames

**ERROR: [yuvscaler] Could'nt read YUV4MPEG header!
**ERROR: [mpeg2enc] Could not read YUV4MPEG2 header: system error (failed read/write)!

    Can anyone help me out?
    Thanks

  2. From what you are saying you reassembled a spilt rar file and now have a bin/cue to deal with.

Bin/cue files are usually ready to burn vcd or svcd images. So if you think this is a vcd and you just want to end up with a vcd disk do this:

Go to the copy section of Toast, select bin/cue option, drop the cue file on toast and burn,

Otherwise, if you want to get your hands on the movie file itself, then do as above, but instead of hitting burn, save as disk image from the toast file menu, then mount the image and copy out the mpeg file.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Use GNU VCDTools X to rip the mpeg out onto the desktop. VCDGear X will also work. Then just drag the mpeg onto the video tab of toast.

Hmmm, the thing with that is that the .Bin/Cue file is like 800-900 Megs. Is there a way I can Splite it on 2 Discs? Or will Toast Automatically splite everything up?

bin files can be 800 to 900 megs and still fit on a CDR. The max I had was a VCD Bin that was 923 megs. Toast Had No Problem.

  6. qshartle is probably right in that the bin/cue files were made to fit on a CD to begin with. If toast fails with not enough space available on disk: do what I said above to get the mpeg, or use the other tools suggested by pixeljammedia, and you can then split and re-author each part with ffmpegx as 2 separate sets of bin/cue which you can then burn.
