  1. I have a question to ask, if anyone could help that would be great.

When I encode my dvd rips I use my own template, Mpeg- 1 2pass VBR 1500kbps average. My question is when I start to encode I usually keep the size @ = 352 x 240, and I notice after it is finished encoding it's really small until I burn it to disk and play in dvd player. I notice in the source range before encoding that it has a size of source range = 720 x 480. Should I change the "size" to 720 x 480 before I encode, or just leave it as it is pre set to 352 x 240?

    Any suggestions would be helpful

  2. i believe 352x240 is standard VCD resolution and that 720x480 is the resolution of the vob files...perhaps a standard DVD resolution??? anywayz, if u were to use that resolution, you're file size is gonna increase because the low resolution of VCDs contributes to its small filesize

Yeah that's what I thought also, just wasn't 100%. I'm use to encoding dvd's to "divx" while using FlaskMpeg and you can crop the black bars, etc. Well thanks!
