mpg file?

I have some mpg file. It also a still image and I want to change and to convert it to some other format such as jpg. Do you know any sofware can do like this?

Open the mpg in tmpgenc, select File->output to file - > sequence bmpg/jpg
or
Open the mpg in virtualdub-mpeg2, select File->Save image sequence.

If you just want one screenshot you can use Media Player Classic, File->Save image.

But I used tmpgenc , it can't open open mpg file
Used Media Player Classic and saved to jmp file but when I can't open that jmp file
