Hey guys. I have a new problem now. I have an .mpg capture from a VHS tape. The capture has a small video dropout (less than a second) where the video gets messed up but comes back again (the original is the same way). The problem is that now I'm trying to reencode the video with a smaller bitrate and resolution (using TMPGEnc) but as soon as it hits the spot with the video dropout, the encoding continues but all I get is the same messed up still thoughout the duration of the video.
So, when encoding I get the first half of the video with no problem, but the second half is always like this:
Like I said I'm using TMPGEncoder.... is there any setting I can change to fix that, and just continue the encoding normally?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks!

Encode it in two parts. Use the source selection feature.

That should work for that specific case.
I also have some older vhs videos which may have the same problem several times during the video, so is there any other solution that I can do it all in one shot?
In the mean time, I'll be doing that. Thanks. -
Not really.
Maybe another encoder or even another MPEG2 decoder (environmental settings)Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
