  1. Hi everyone I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

I have "authored" a DVD using DVD lab. There are 5 movies listed on the menu. The are written as text then I right clicked on to the movie name and linked to movie 1.

    1. movie 1
    2. movie 2 etc etc.

Once I had done all the movies this way I stupily thought that I had to comile and burn and oince the DVD was placed into the stand alone DVD player I would be able to move from movie to movie. But no. What have I done wrong ?

I want to be able to press the down arrow to move to movie 5 before returning to the menu then chose another movie etc.

    please help. Thanks everybody.

When you are viewing your menu in DVD-Lab, look at the toolbar above the menu. You'll see and Auto-Route option. Uncheck it so that you can manually set where the up, down, left, and right buttons will take you. Once unchecked, 4 arrows will be enabled next to it. Click on the direction you want to edit. Then click each linked text object and drag the arrow to where you want the direction to navigate. So these are the steps:

    1) Uncheck "Auto-Route" in the toolbar above your menu

    2) Click one of the arrows (for example the up arrow)

    3) Drag the mouse over the bottom most text link, click and hold your mouse button, and then drag the mouse to the next linked text object above the current one.

    4) Repeat for each direction and for each object

    5) You can then click the play button on the left of your menu toolbar to see if everything is in order

    Hope that helps
