  1. VirtualDub has an job control option, my question is, can I pre-set several projects or does it only work with several jobs on one project ?

  2. It will handle multiple jobs/projects.
I use it regularily to join/edit/filter multiple avi's, then output to avi, or frameserve.
eg. Join two parts of a movie, edit and frameserve to my encoder, then move on to join/edit 3 parts of something else, etc...very flexible.

Yep, you can have any number of different projects or clips in the same project. Very handy ...
    If in doubt, Google it.
