I've read here that when you have two DVD drives, one a R/RW and one a ROM, you should have the R/RW set up as the master.
I've already set up my drives on the secondary cable but the DVD ROM is set as master. My question is can I switch the drives without having to uninstall/reinstall the drivers?
Thanks in advance.

Yes. Master or slave has nothing to do with the drivers. Actually, you shouldn't have any drivers to install. Optical drive support is built into the OS.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore. -
Listen to viral.
He knows what he is talking about.
The optical drives shound not need drivers to be installed.
