    I am using a digital8MM camcorder to transfer video to my PC

    I want to make sure these tapes DON'T get erased. They are Maxell GX-MP tapes

    The tapes have a small engaving on the bottom side corner that says "erase" and then I can select "off" and have the tab pulled all the way out (showing all red), OR push and open the tab to "on"

    Which do I want?
