Hey, let's give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Maybe there's a new KIND of superbit? I mean, a year ago I was all surprised to see "suberbit deluxe", with a second disc of ... extras ... erm, well anyway.
On second thought... nah! Let's just mock him, it's more fun. -

No it wasn't. His question was:
Who has heard of these new super bit DVDs & has anyone tryed to rip them yet?
To which I responded that they've been around for years (implying that they certainly aren't NEW and that considering they've been out for YEARS, people have certainly 'tryed' ripping them).
Maybe I should have said that 'yes', in the YEARS that they've been out, people have most certainly ripped them
To put Superbit simply, it is not Super at all. It just uses less compression and puts only the movie on a dual layer disc, with no extras. This is commonplace with many, many movies anymore - Put just the movie on one disc, then the extras on another. It is (was?) little more than a gimmick. -
Strange i have never heard of these & when i did a search on the form it did not come up. But excuse me for not seeing that its been out since the dawn of man or befor computers were made.
Point HDTV been out loooooong time but how many did you see 2yrs ago.
Super bit DVD been out loooong time but just now starting to see lot of titles out."Man who walk through airport turnstile backwards
going to Bangkok." -
Hey, where did my "super bits" go?
Shame on you mods, deleting posts outright. Tsk tsk. -
I have "The Fifth Element" on SuperBIT disk. I bought it about 2 years ago or so,
when SBIT first came out. I had no trouble ripping this movie either. I also have
the regular DVD version as well.
I think that it's just a matter of something you might of done w/ your SBIT
(if you have one, that is) that's giving you trouble.
