    Anyone remember this car? Mine never got this beat up because I loved that little bastard. Best damn car I ever owned. My only regret was not buying two of them.....they were so cheap.

    It was made in(imported to) America between 1977 and 1980....and I heard rumors they were made(imported) up until 1982 in California.

    This was made in Germany....but it's not a German car.....exactly.

    in fact somewhere buried on this site i posted a pic of all the cars i ever owned (a lot) , though now it is out of date as i would have had 3 different ones now since that was posted a year or so ago ...

    I ragged the piss out of this one for five or six years 10-15 years ago. Great car. Lotsa good times & memories.

    These were made by Ford Werks in Germany....with a 1.6 liter Kent engine. I was lucky enough to get one with a Weber "over-under 4 barrel" carb on mine.
    I could lay tire for a week....
    Mine broke down one time. Sold it with 101K miles on it....original clutch and everything.
    The repair cost me $4.95 + $20 labor....clogged fuel filter.

    Now they are Mazda 121's mostly....they were GREAT when the Germans were still making them. I like the newest ones though...those are nice. Looks like a baby Focus.
