Network render is new to me, I have tried with after effects, but only Networking the rendered file ready for DVD, from my experience, all it did was save the rendered file to the other computer. Didnt really speed things up for me, although i do have 2 computers with gigabit network cards that do transfer Very fast, the reason for these where, if i was working on somthing on the living room pc i could just transfer it to the Pc in the basment,
    So there is a method to use the power of 2 computers to edit, preview,Render? If so this would be great.

    It is new to all of us and not optimal yet. Network rendering has the potential to speed things up for the "little guy"

    The post houses can afford the $15K-250K hardware accelerated systems but for the cash strapped little guy clustered MIPS hardware is cheap and it may develop into a practical solution if the software and procedures can be optimized.

    Sony Vegas offers one packaged solution but its not yet easy to deploy.
