I've noticed that in some of my backups, there is at least 1 instance where the video data scrambles in a section of the video clip for about a second.
Is there a way, other than watching the whole movie after ripping it to the HDD, to compare the image created with the original disk to make sure that the backup is a 100% copy?

DVDInfoPro can compare a DVD with an ISO image on HDD, or with the ripped files on HDD.
