I have successfully removed the HellBoy trailer from the start of the DVD, but can't find the Warning text message which comes up after the Dolby track, when you press Play from the main menu.

Where do I find this video segment and has anyone successfully removed it?

it may be a subtitle warning that won't show in any normal preview

it's probably a Sony DVD as they do this and you need to strip the subs in that specific cell to get rid of the warnings

I would suggest loading your DVD in PgcEdit, which now has a trace with a preview: This means you can play the DVD in PgcEdit (as you would in a regular player) and see it jump from PGC to PGC, title to title etc. PgcEdit now has a preview so you can actually see what's in any PGC.
This should make it very easy to locate the stuff you want to remove. PgcEdit will easily remove it for you, once you've identified it.
Here's a guide for that kind of stuff...

    Thanks all,

Figered it out using PGCEdit. It was a title menu (I think that's what it's called). Details:

    VMGM, LU 1 (en), 2 (0.05) 0b.

The only thing now is that when I press "Play Movie" on the Main Menu, it shows the Dolby Digital scene (I love these scenes with the audio cranked up), but now shows the text "The following interviews & commentaries are for entertainment alone.........", and then the movie plays.

I am assuming that this is a subtitle, because I can't find it anywhere else, so how do I edit it out? It doesn't show in the Trace.

That's the"video manager menu" domain... A Title menu domain would show VTSM...

Do you mean that this wasn't showing on the original DVD???
This could be what's called a "forced subtitle" (one that your subtitle button cannot remove", and you're right, PgcEdit's preview won't show subtitles.
If it is a subtitle, you can try to defeat it by inserting this command at the top of the pre-command area of the PGC where the subtitle appears.

    [51 00 00 00 80 00 00 00] 1 (SetSTN) Set Sub-picture stream = 0, off

Just copy the line above, click on the first command in the pre-command area of the PGC, right-click and do "past above". make sure in your options that "Automatically renumber GOTOs..." is checked otherwise inserting a command like that might break playback.
This command selects subtitle 0 and sets it off. If what you see is a subtitle (forced or not), this will prevent it from showing. There shouldn't be any need to stripping it off the cell. Note that if you see another SetSTN command later in the pre-command area you should probably modify it as well because it might override the one you inserted.

Let us know how that worked...

    Thanks Jean,

I found that a blank video scene was showing where this alledged subtitle shows during normal playback, so I deleted the scene and it's now gone. Thanks!!
