  1. hi guys i am having a strange problem with two dvd disks one disk goes upto 96% with dvd decrypter and then it stops the second one is there on the hard drive and says some error with ifo file and will not copy so i am looking for a software that will just strip the dvd movie and audio into MPeg or Avi so that i can burn it again tried clone dvd nero and dvd2avi nothing seems to rip dvd to hard drive so any suggestions are welcome thanks

    It would be much, much more helpful to all of us if you could post screenshots of the two errors you're encountering. Remember - we can't see your screen from here

    I don't think you need to bother with stripping out to MPEG or AVI. THe one that stops at 96%, does it give you a "Check Condition" or "Cyclic Redundancy Check" error ? If so, it is more than likely that there is a fingerprint or smudge on the outer edge of the disc - try cleaning the disc.

    What is the exact error with the IFO ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

  3. the error with ifo is it says it is not a valid file i still got it burnt with an other programme and if plays in my cheap shinsonic player the expensive toshiba and samsung do not like to recognise it so anyway that got fixed now about the 96 % one yes it give me same error as i went out and got an the dealer to change the disk on me it is the CRC error though and when i play movie it plays fine so any ideas

    I'm not normally one to pick on punctuation, but a couple of full stops every now and again wouldn't go astray
    If in doubt, Google it.

  6. Is the disc you're ripping an original? or is it one that's been previousley compressed?. If it's the last one it's because who originally shrank it had the output size slightly too large and although it seems all the files are on the disc they are only fragments and you can't actually copy them all, but the copied disc will still play and you can still do a copy on the fly but it will say it's messed up just before the end...........but will still play!
    I could dance with you till the cows came home..... on second thoughts i'd rather dance with the cows till you came home.
